Kindness, like a boomerang, always returns.
Community groups and volunteers have helped make the Kāpiti Half Marathon the treasure that it is. Our beautiful coast not only boasts incredible weather and scenery, but the warmest of hearts and the most welcoming people!
L’Arche is a worldwide federation of people, with and without intellectual disabilities, working together for a world where all belong. Each year, we are excited to have a team from L’Arche join our crew to bring an energetic vibe to one of our on course aid stations.
The Waikanae Estuary Care Group work tirelessly to return the exotic weed wasteland to its former glory and natural state as the Waikanae Estuary Scientific Reserve. Kāpiti Half Marathon and WECG have an ongoing partnership with volunteering and giving back to the restoration of the reserve.

Volunteers
Our volunteers giving their time and energy bring smiles to everyone’s faces, and elevate the event to a level beyond imagination! If you want to be part of the team of legends who make these events available and accessible for the runners, we would love to hear from you.
